The Early Days

Eric Zeev, and Steve Irvine, established Timbalac Coatings Pty Ltd on July 1, 1992.  Eric was the owner of a successful furniture polishing company and was receiving regular visits from Steve, a skilled technical representative. After many discussions about the lack of local, reliable products, together they set their sights on the future. The plan was to set up a local company that offered competitive prices, high quality products and excellent service. With Eric as the director, and Steve as the face of the company, Timbalac has established itself over the past 20 years as one of Australia’s largest timber coating suppliers.

 

The Development

In the early 1990’s Italian wood coatings company, Sayerlack were the market leaders with advanced technology. Timbalac capitalized on this and became the sole distributors of Sayerlack products in Australia and New Zealand. Recognizing the additional market needs Timbalac also began distributing Treffert UV Coatings, and Titebond Wood Adhesives. Combining these three outstanding companies with technical expertise, Timbalac has been able to capture the needs of the Australian market.

 

Today

Today Timbalac has built a manufacturing plant with products that carry the Australian Made and Owned logo. They have established offices in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, and distributors Australia wide.

 

The Future

With growing global concerns about the future of the environment Timbalac Pty Ltd and their suppliers are continually developing more environmentally friendly products. The Company will continue to offer cost effective solutions, superior products and exceptional service well into the future.
